Thank you for supporting Small Business!

Our Story

My husband & I have a heart for helping underprivileged children. We are open to God’s direction in leading us, whether this is through freeing sex-trafficked children or helping to place children in loving homes through fostering and/or adoption. As we’ve learned more about the process, our eyes have been opened to the many needs that exist when it comes to children and families. We have so much while others have so little. The profits from our small family business will be helping children that are less fortunate than we are. We appreciate your support and thank God for the opportunity to share our mission with you.

- Fern & Dave Eshbach

Hi, I'm Fern

Designer & Owner

Thanks for visiting. My name is Fern and we are the Eshbachs.

I've always had an eye for the beauty of creatively designed pieces of word art, and was determined that someday I would make those beautiful signs that you see in home décor stores. My husband, Dave, is my biggest cheerleader and from the beginning he has handled all the "business things" so I can focus on creating. Together, we have carefully selected each product for our online shop, from choosing the softest tees to finding the comfiest pillows and the sturdiest mugs. It's our hope that you'll be inspired and encouraged by each of my designs, created here in my little home studio.

As our shop has grown it's become a family affair. I create each of our designs, and our custom stencils and vinyl wall art are cut and shipped straight from our home in Richmond, VA. Our son, Jasper, likes to help too! We are grateful to GOD for the gift of creativity, and hope you'll be inspired by the scripture verses and inspirational quotes we've created for your home!

Few Statistics

A few adoption stats:

  • There are 107,918 foster children eligible for and waiting to be adopted.
  • In 2014, 50,644 foster kids were adopted — a number that has stayed roughly consistent for the past five years.
  • The average age of a waiting child is 7.7 years old and 29% of them will spend at least three years in foster care.
  • 81.5 million Americans have considered adoption. If 1 in 500 of these adults adopted, every waiting child in foster care would have a permanent family.
  • The U.S. adopts more children than the rest of the world combined, internationally as well as domestically.
  • 40% of adopted children are of a different race, culture, or ethnicity than one or both their adoptive parents.
  • Adoption costs can range from $0 to more than $40,000.

A few trafficking stats:

  • One of the fastest growing industries in the world.
  • Approximately  50,000 people are trafficked into the US each year, most often from Mexico and the Philippines.
  • Estimated 71% of enslaved people are women and girls, while men and boys account for 29%.
  • Reports indicate that a large number of child sex trafficking survivors in the US were at one time in the foster care system.
  • Estimates suggest that, internationally, only about .04% survivors of human trafficking cases are identified, meaning that the vast majority of cases of human trafficking go undetected.
  • Human trafficking earns global profits of roughly $150 billion a year for traffickers, $99 billion of which comes from commercial sexual exploitation.
